René created thousands of illustrations and sketches covering a wide range of styles from whimsical and cute to playful with a dark edge. Her style really shines in
the wide variety found in her sketches

She used a range of materials and mediums to sketch with from quill pen and ink, technical pens, pencils and ballpoint pen. She would often use spiral bound journals and fill every page with a drawing doing 5 or 6 a day. Many of her pieces were done while riding in the car with Cameron.
